Duties of the position:
Responsible for conducting classroom instruction in aircraft systems
Responsible for flight simulator & aircraft instruction including flight procedures & techniques
Conducts pre-flight & post-flight briefings
Conducts pilot proficiency checks in flight simulator in accordance w/FAA regulations
When designated, conducts FAA type certification check rides in flight simulator & aircraft
Assist in courseware development & suggests improvements in training programs to keep courses
up-to-date, accurate & responsive to client needs & desires
Qualifications Required:
Must meet the aeronautical experience for an ATP and appropriate type ratings*
Should be locally available and have accommodations within 90 minutes of the facility
Above average presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal & written
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and days.
Experience with and/or desire to learn internet and intranet applications
High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications Preferred:
ATP certificate
1+yrs experience as aviation instructor
3000 hrs total flight time
Operational experience in type
Bachelor's degree
