Part-Time, On-Call Instructor Pilot

 

 

Duties of the position:

  • Responsible for conducting classroom instruction in aircraft systems
  • Responsible for flight simulator & aircraft instruction including flight procedures & techniques
  • Conducts pre-flight & post-flight briefings
  • Conducts pilot proficiency checks in flight simulator in accordance w/FAA regulations
  • When designated, conducts FAA type certification check rides in flight simulator & aircraft
  • Assist in courseware development & suggests improvements in training programs to keep courses up-to-date, accurate & responsive to client needs & desires
  • Qualifications Required:

  • Must meet the aeronautical experience for an ATP and appropriate type ratings*
  • Should be locally available and have accommodations within 90 minutes of the facility
  • Above average presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and days.
  • Experience with and/or desire to learn internet and intranet applications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Qualifications Preferred:

  • ATP certificate
  • 1+yrs experience as aviation instructor
  • 3000 hrs total flight time
  • Operational experience in type
  • Bachelor's degree
